“Priceless” Patient Experience
"I work with an excellent staff of nurses! They really go out of their way to connect to patients and form a relationship with them," notes Cherie Neil, RN, assistant manager/clinical educator, on the 7 West Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

She relates that a recent patient who had undergone open heart surgery for a valve replacement was discharged by Marianne Bautista, RN. After wishing him well and saying goodbye, he mentioned that she should read the message he left on the whiteboard in his room.

This "Mastercard" message represents everything the doctors, nurses and staff at UCLA hope to achieve from all our patients.
