Undergoes Accreditation Survey

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations conducted its three year, unannounced survey of Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital in September, and preliminary reports from the surveyors indicate that the hospital will receive full re-accreditation for another three years.

"They were highly complimentary of our employees and medical staff, noting specifically the welcoming and friendly nature of our employees and cooperative attitude that all participants showed throughout the survey," says Barbara Browning, associate director of Performance Improvement. "They also praised our efforts to improve our environment of care."
