Original Artwork Livens Dining Commons
In a work commissioned just for Ronald
Reagan UCLA Medical Center, multimedia
artist Pae White brings the walls of
the Dining Commons to life with bright
colors and bold images. The sleek dining
room setting is enhanced with vivid reds,
golds and blues artfully splashed across a
black background, creating an interesting
counterpoint to the hospital’s elegant white
and wood surfaces. White named the
piece “Wall Traveled,” and drew some of
her inspiration from enhanced images of
Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World.”
Pae White is a well known artist who works in many different media. Her work has been exhibited in numerous museums including the Hammer Museum and many international venues. Her first major U.S. museum exhibit just ended in September at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. You can find a nice selection of her work on the internet. |
