Construction Update

Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital has grown and changed dramatically over the past year in conjunction with the opening of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Scheduled SMUCLA Construction projects
January 2009

• Rerouting basement corridor under the new Central Wing
• 3 Merle Norman Pavillion (MNP) corridor to Surgery reopens
• Surgical Waiting Room moves to 3 Southwest Wing
• 5 Tower Satellite Pharmacy opens

February 2009

• Upgraded and refurbished South Pavilion elevators reopen
• New Angio/Cath suite on 3 MNP adjacent to operating rooms
• Respiratory Therapy on 4 MNP

Renovation and expansion of the hospital are expected to continue through mid-2010.
