Get Screened
Screenings are medical tests that check
for diseases. Screenings help doctors find
diseases early when they may be easier
to treat. It’s an important step you can
take for your health.
Different screening tests are needed at
different ages. Visit the links below or visit
the Wellness Initiative website to print
the guidelines from the National Health
Information Center (NHIC) for men or
women http://wellness.healthcare.ucla.edu

- Talk with a doctor or nurse about which
screenings are right for you.
- Make sure to get the results from every
screening.
- Most insurance plans, including
Medicaid and Medicare, will pay for
screenings recommended by your
doctor. Also, many screenings are
covered under the Affordable Care Act.
