Spend a Special Saturday
Helping to Feed Others

A team of up to 50 volunteers from the UCLA Hospital System is needed for Saturday, July 8, 2006, to sort food donations and assemble grocery packages for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program. This program helps to distribute much-needed food to senior citizens and women with infants and children throughout Los Angeles County.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. This is a great opportunity for parents with teenagers to have fun together and to expose them to the importance and satisfaction of volunteerism.

The Food Rescue Program is located at the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, 1701 East 41st Place, Los Angeles, CA 90058. The time commitment will be four hours, from 8 am to noon.
