Have
a Heart: Make Your Steps Count
Make a
difference. The UCLA Healthcare Wellness Initiative invites
all Hospital System Employees to participate in the American
Heart Association’s 5K Heart Walk to raise funds toward
combating this country’s most devastating killers: heart
disease and stroke. The event will take place Saturday, September
30, 2006, at 7 a.m., in Exposition Park. UCLA is committed
to raising $100,000 with the help of 850 Hospital System employees.
Department
managers are designated team captains and can be contacted
for more information. Brandie Guenther at Westwood and Meg
Armbruster at Santa Monica Hospital serve as the program leaders.

The Heart
Walk will provide a great opportunity for employees to gather
outside of the workplace with their families, friends and
co-workers in a heart-healthy and fun activity, while making
a valuable contribution to heart disease and stroke research
and education.
Come and
join in the fun and get your free baseball caps, water bottles
and bandanas!
